I'm tired.

I'm tired of having to justify my stance on AI.

I'm tired of answering which models I'm using.

I'm tired of answering whether I give the AI enough context.

I'm tired of being asked whether I'm using "Claude skills" or "planning mode."

I'm tired of being told that the research and studies I point to are cherry-picked.

I'm tired of people showcasing their obviously broken, generated toy/tool as proof of how great AI is.

I'm tired of having to explain that AI has limitations and how they differ from humans.

I'm tired of having to explain that AI causes knowledge debt, and having people ignore the implications of that.

I'm tired of explaining that black-box development with AI is fundamentally flawed and no lasting business can be built upon it, and having people ignore the arguments that support this.

I'm tired of being told that I'm going to "fall behind" just because I don't buy the hype.

I'm tired of being told that I just need to use AI more or that I "just haven't used it enough", even though I use it daily for work.

I'm tired of being told by non-technical people what will make my technical work more effective.

I'm tired of leadership having AI FOMO.

I'm tired of every other article being about AI, this one included.

I'm tired of being told how important AI is, even though my productivity is on par with, or better than, that of the most zealous AI devotees.

I'm tired of seeing bug rates from AI-heavy developers being ignored.

I'm tired of AI-generated tests from lazy developers.

I'm tired of being labelled a "hater" just because I see AI as an overhyped tool with fundamental limitations.

I'm tired of leadership not allowing the experts they hired to determine how they can be effective.

I'm tired of the constant chase for short-term gain over longevity and sustainability.

I'm tired of seeing AI failures being brushed under the rug, never to be mentioned again.

I'm tired of the fear-mongering.

I'm tired of being told that I must be doing something wrong and then being shown the exact thing I'm doing (with no better result).

I'm tired of nuance no longer being allowed in discussions.

I'm tired and disappointed.
